The overall territory of the hunting lands is 84.2 thousand hectares and the area of the game husbandry is 60.7 thousand hectares.
Kletsk Forestry Area is divided into 5 game wards and one hunting farm. The Forestry institution is staffed with 5 game wardens and lead engineer for hunting Vladimir M. Klimchuk.
The population of wild animals is on the upwards - boars, roes, elks, hares and birds - heath cocks, partridges and hazel-grouses.
The feeding period for animals lasts 110 days, and to this end it is necessary to prepare 670 kg of salt, over 10 tonnes of coarse feed, 23 tonnes of succulent feed and 13 tonnes of concentrated feed.
The National Programme for Hunting Development for 2006 –2015 demands more efficiency in the hunting industry. To fulfill the Programme, self-repayment should be the goal.
One of the ways to deliver is to boost the population of wild animals. The area of the game husbandry is currently populated by 64 elks, 211 roes, 205 boars, 1050 squirrels, 695 hares, 177 weasels, 193 beech and stone martens, ferrets and ermines. Those who have a hunting itch may buy a licence to hunt for the hoofed. Traditionally, the hunting season for the hoofed starts from 1 October, fur game from the first Saturday of November.
The season voucher for the hunters will be 70-100 thousand rubles, single – depending on circumstances - 10-15 thousand rubles.
For those who wish to hunt, fish or enjoy themselves in a natural environment, a hunting lodge is now being refurbished in Quadrangle 92 of Novinki Forestry Area. It is just next to a picturesque lake, close to the village Chasha. There will be a banqueting hall for 80 people, six bedrooms accommodating 12 hunters at the same time. You can sit by the fireplace, watch TV, enjoy sauna. It is planned to pitch 4 garden houses which may accommodate 50 persons. The new hunting lodge will be ready in September 2010.
A hundred meters away from the lodge, there’s a unique natural monument – giant oak aged 400 year, its height 23 meters, circumference 5.2 meters.
The Forestry Institution invests a great deal into the hunting area. The woodland is equipped with recreational spaces. There are 23 feeding complexes, 30 salt licks and 9.0 km of shooting ranges equipped, semi-towers and stands are also installed. Shortly, the hunting farm will be able to offer holidaymakers, apart from hunting and fishing, sightseeing tours across the district of Kletsk – Saostrovechye Folklore Museum in the open air with a partisan-war dugout, rural homestead, exposition of military materiel, Saostrovechye Ecologically Specialized Secondary School, Kletsk History Museum. There will also be journeys to the palace and park complex of the Radziwills, taking a glimpse of the cathedral church, town hall located in Nesvizh and visiting the Mir castle put on UNESCO’s world heritage list. The tours will give ultimate impressions to each and every hunter.
Kletsk Forestry Institution intends to enter into agreements with Fish farms Loktyshi and Krasnaia Sloboda (20 km away from the hunting lodge) to make arrangement for amateur fishing of spike, perch, catfish, carp and crucian.
